FL rewired to cubase
Hi guys im relatively new to this stuff and iv never really learnt all the technical jargen.. been doin stuff on fruityloops for quite a while but nothin serios. iv recently got cubase sx3 n i noticed that when cubase was running n i opened up FL it sed sumthing about rewiring it. this is where my neivity shows.. does this mean that you can write down ur stuff in the fl channels and then transfer it into cubase? if so how would i go about doing this?? i mean i get cubase (kinda) but seems alot slower to get your stuff written down than with fruity!
thanks guys!

thanks guys!

I don't know about rewiring, but you can use Cubase to host FL as a VSTiCleeko wrote:Hi guys im relatively new to this stuff and iv never really learnt all the technical jargen.. been doin stuff on fruityloops for quite a while but nothin serios. iv recently got cubase sx3 n i noticed that when cubase was running n i opened up FL it sed sumthing about rewiring it. this is where my neivity shows.. does this mean that you can write down ur stuff in the fl channels and then transfer it into cubase? if so how would i go about doing this?? i mean i get cubase (kinda) but seems alot slower to get your stuff written down than with fruity!

Re: FL rewired to cubase
That is basically what rewiring is. When FL is rewired to Cubase, Acid, etc., you are using it as a VSTi plugin. If you want to disable it as a rewire device do the following:decklyn wrote: I don't know about rewiring, but you can use Cubase to host FL as a VSTi
Start Menu > Programs > FL Studio > Advanced > Uninstall ReWire Client
That would prevent FL from loading as a rewired device when you try to open it when you have Cubase open. When FL is rewired, you have a max of 16 individual mixer tracks to use.
