Lysergene finally on dsf...Get to know !! :P

Hey - this is Lysergene from Birmingham, UK. I spend all of my spare time producing deep bass music at 140 BPM, sometimes slower for extra depth.

I've released a couple of tracks with Area Recordings (wicked label - big up Be-1ne!).

I like to keep it dark and atmospheric and I trye to experiment with new approaches to this style, here are a couple of examples of some newer tracks. Check em out and leave feedback if you want

Can we please stop calling it "deep" and stop using words like "depth" and "melodic" after the word "ambiant".

You have asked for it not to be labelled as deep and then agree its deep. I'm confused...

This tune is so deep....I mean, like, the depth is unreal. It's got that real Dungeon Sound to it, so ambient; can't get enough.

it just annoys me, everyone complains that the average joe's perception of dubstep is filth wobblers but when good dubstep tunes come around people feel the need to add an extra label to distinguish/segregate it from the other sounds thus contributing to the average joe's perception of tearout wobblers being dubstep and everything else is that "deep shit init"

plus sometimes the "deep" stuff doesnt feel deep, 4x4 full time percussion with 2 step garage flavours, really weighty bass - proper skank out material it just doesnt have a wobble, so it gets labelled as "deep" :cornlol:

not taking anything away from the artist here, his tunes are fire - and i dont mean to hijack the thread, just kinda got to me today i guess haha.

If your going to try and make some poetic statement at least learn to spell, "Ambient" :W:

It helps to not contradict yourself :a:

So in your magical contra-dictionary of none descriptive and misspelled words, how would you describe anything? or is your world just linear?
