So I stumbled upon this group called Engine - EarZ Experiment through a related video on Youtube, and hot damn....THE FUCK!? They're incredible, this was the song in particular

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RDVqOf3g ... ure=relmfu

How would someone even go about producing an orgasmic clusterfuck of sounds like that!? Like the volume control at starting at around 1:22, those quick cut offs, and just that drop at 1:35, over my heaaaddd, someone give me a hand on breaking down this masterpiece.
:u: My heart is filled with envy.
But on a serious note, mad respect to these guys, they're wicked creative, a fully live dubstep act on stage? Gotta love it !

just watched the video with the sitar playing for 1xtra, nice idea but i don't think it has the same effect as normal dubstep.. as a band in their own right thye're pretty good though

I agree, I watched that one on their site as well, I just never get the same feeling from a song that mixes traditional instruments and electronic equipment/dj-ing :/

yeah.. they remind me a lot of world music fusion type band more than a dubstep band.. which i like, cause i'm into that kind of music, but i wouldn't play it alongside other dubstep tunes personally

Lord Christ another sub-genre I haven't heard of? Can't even keep up! So what IS Modestep?

EDIT: My bad, my bad, now I know what it is, forgive my ignorance

Saw them September last year. Great energy in their shows. They had some cool guest vocalists too, but they were too low to get anything from. Still nice though. :4:
