Massive help needed.....thank you!

Post by rolltide629 » Tue May 17, 2011 3:18 am

Okay i am having a serious issue with massive....Okay i have played around and came up with my own sound in massive but when i go to record it it sounds absolutely nothing like what it did when i was playing around with it....its like as soon as i hit the record button it changes my sound completely...yes i am very new to this and there IS probably something i SHOULD have read that covers this...please just dont be assholes and try your best to just help me out. i see too many people on here treating newbies like they are complete effin dumbasses.

What DAW are you using? (ex. FL Studio, Ableton Live, Logic, Cubase)

Honestly i can't quite tell from the description you're giving. It sounds like it might be something simple though. How exactly is the sound your synthesizing changing once you begin to record the midi track? Are you recording it to an audio track?

man what is going on lol....anyways ill do my best to describe my problem. Lets say i follow the following video step by step (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TqATRcRdq-0). Okay so once i finish this i can just click the keyboard key A and hold it and it sounds great. but then when i click the record button and try to record this the sound changes completely and sounds nothing like it did when i was just pressing buttons

I think i saw something about how the external sync goofs up in ableton. So go to your "global" tab in massive, and uncheck "Extern sync". Then set it to 140 bpm or whatever your tracks bpm is. Worth a shot? Let me know how it works.
