Building CD Booklet for playing out on CDJs

Hey everyone, I've been spinning vinyl since I began but I've been running into trouble playing out and have been forced into blind mixing on cdjs with someone else's cds. I don't want this to happen again so I'm taking it upon myself to build a CD booklet/case with all my tunes.
Does anyone have any tips for organization or max number of tunes recommended on a cd or anything of the sort that can help me avoid any issues in the future?
Thanks in advance.

i had the same experience a few years ago.
I just use itunes playlists to organise my music, usually get around 14/15 tracks per cd/playlist.
Save the playlists creating a new one every time you need to, this way you can still have all the playlists in order for when you need to reburn or replace cds.
Burn each playlist twice and you will have access to your full collection on cds.
Just print off a tracklist, cut it out and wack it ontop of each cd in the wallet.
its a long process to start but its worth it in the end.
it may sound obvious but i find when im looking at my cd wallet in a club its natural to pay more attention to the 1st 3/4 track names on each cd label, so I usually put the better stuff at the beginning of the cd.
hope that helps.

no worries, i had the same fears a few years ago when I was forced to use cdjs or lose my residency.
SInce i did that it opened up a lot more opportunities for me & i still have all the playlsits in itunes so i can go back to dubstep vol.1 if i need to reburn.
Just make sure u get a big cd wallet and burn each cd twice so you can play tracks from the same playlist together.
good luck.

I have a disc for each artist, with about 5 max tunes on a CD. Just writing on CDs; each track title.
CDs organized in alphabetical order so you can find shit easily.
ALWAYS burn as audio. Nothing worse than turning up with a data disc and they have MKIIs.
And if you're burning from iTunes, never check the box that says 'use soundcheck', and preferably burn at a slow speed.
Also, have each CD as a playlist in iTunes so if you lose/break a CD you can easily reburn it

I find that burning only 6 or so tunes on a CD is better - it costs a bit more and takes up more space, but 6 tracks is easier to scan while flicking through than a list 16 tunes deep.
