The new Optimus Prime, like most newer vehicles, is not made out of as much metal as in previous years. I believe given this fact, 2011 Optimus Prime would win.

Couldn't Magnus just controll anything Optimus threw at him, weapon wise?

i think the argument is how much of Optimus is metal that is still magnetized and could a magnetic pulse disable the electrical systems on said automobile. If optimus runs off of electricity then we're facing a huge issue. However, I suspect Optimus powers the car off of his own special energy of sorts, confirmed by the fact the autobots never have to refuel anywhere.
Also does optimuses alien awesomeness have the ability to devoid himself of any polarization.... seeing as how he has traveled from a distant galaxy I think this may be in his arsenal.

Lol, you went deep. How about Magneto just being able to spear Optimus with railings and the like. Idk, I just can't see Optimus being able to get at Magneto - small target + force field.

If I`m not mistaken Magneto is able to use the iron in our blood to cause Exsanguination.
I`m sure Optimus Prime will have a tad more metal than our blood.
Optimus Prime vs Magnito = oily , bloody mess from every Prime orifice

I'm not sure if this helps, but Magneto is one of the very few people capable of banging Rogue
I'm not sure Optimus would.... fit.
Magneto 1 - Optimus 0

Actually some bullets are made from a lead alloy containing antimony, which is magnetic I think.
