Plogue Chipsounds mucking up Ableton

Post by Danimal » Wed May 25, 2011 7:04 pm

So I own ableton live 8 as well as plogue chipsounds. Yes I am a licensed user, no crack. When I have multiple chipsounds tracks going, ableton begins to crackle really bad. Sometimes this leads Ableton to crash. This sometimes happens when I have multiple tracks going on side chain compression. Anyone know whats going on?

Maybe you're over stressing your CPU. Does the CPU meter at the top right spike much?

no i keep it in the green. It does sound like my CPU is struggling but I have 4 gigs of RAM and its a powerful Dell. Seems like its a sequencing error. I can have 30 instances of Massive running, but a couple chipsounds much everything up.

what % is your cpu meter going upto? i've had ableton crackle on as little as 50-60% cpu load.
