I'm a 19 yr old new to mixing, I'm using the BCD3000 controller on Traktor pro...

gave a quick listen to your mix; i'm not really into that kinda dubstep, so i hope my feedback is still helpful.

i think that you should try to extend your transitions a little longer, i felt like the sequencing of the tunes just crossfaded over from one tune to the next. the sweet shop and example tune could have made a nice blend. a method that i've found to be helpful in learning the dj skills i felt i needed to have (and STILL need to acquire) has been listening to dj mixes, or podcasts, that i really like and picking apart the transitions. find a mix by a dj that you really like and just focus on the transitions to see how they mix in and out of tunes. it might be even better to find a video on youtube, that way you can see exactly how the dj pulls it off.

also, to get more people to check your stuff out, i'd suggest commenting in other threads, esp. if they, too, are asking for feedback. it's mutually beneficial.

I got a gig on one event in my city, and it was posted on facebook. It was kinda shocking and nice to see so many plays in so little time.
