what is the spectrum/formant/bend +/- section all about in the osc sections?
what does the serielle/paralle bar do?
what are the mix and bypass sections?
what are the tubes?(classic/tele/brauner)
Lastly, what exactly do the osc and voicing tabs do?
just figured I would try to get some explanation here before I RTFM and try to decipher whatever it all means lol.
Thanks
p.s. again this is all in ni massive lol

theres SOOOOO much info out there regarding massive. just search NI massive tutorial or something similar, youtube tutorials were a big help to me as i usually learn better when theres some visual representation going along with it. hell even the manual or native instruments site would be a good resource

Ive been using massive for maybe 6 months now? not so sure. But anyways, I have used almost ALL of the features that Massive has to offer, and have made some pretty interesting sounds. I've used all the features but one...
This would be the macro controls. I know a little on how to use them but whenever I add a "more" macro, it does the EXACT same thing as what the "vibrato" or whatever its called does. So I'm pretty confused when it comes to the macro's.
Here's the coolest sound I've ever made with massive (without using the macro's).
Soundcloud
So could someone help me? that would be awesome! Thanks! (Oh, and pleeeaaase dont tell me to read the manual. I would learn it better if someone told me)
Again thanks.

Read the manual, theres tons of info in there! Also listen to each waveform, get to know massive inside and out and practice. Theres no shortcut as everyone here will tell you.
The questions you're asking are showing that you've literally picked up a copy of massive and haven't ever read anything at all about synthesis. Download a copy of 'how to make a noise', its free and very helpful.

you basically hit the mark. I started listening to dubstep over the last summer, got really into it, and a few months ago figured I would try to make it.
The only reason I didn't read the manual first was because I figured it would all be technical mumbojumbo and I wouldn't understand it at all, and i've learned a whole lot from this site so I figured someone could put it in easier terms for me.
I'll check out that how to make a noise deal. thanks!

its because macro1 is linked to vibrato by default, find the vibrato in the first tab, osc tab i think it is, you can see the yellow numbers and value line around the knob, right click to take it off, and link different macros to different shit in massive, just look at the presets and break them down see what macro is automating what

Imo you need to read some fuckin' basics. Check out the bass production threads, learn how to automate the cutoff - learn what cutoff/res/resonance actually do. You're asking about oscillators.... fuuuuuuuck. No more questions - you read nao!!!!

macros are midi assignment knobs that allow u to tweak things on the midi side... whats the perc of it?
u can actually assign them to more then one control...
for the rest of this thread, its dogbollox... guys even if we give u an answer now, that attitude aint gettin yall nowhere near where u want to be. LOOK FOR THINGS, READ UR MANUALS, TRY TWEAKING EVERYTHING... and then search again. and after that, post here ...
seriously, its tough love, no hate, but grow some production balls.

I know what oscillators are I'm not a complete idiot
But in massive there is an osc tab in the main section that has some confusing stuff in it.
I was planning on reading the manual eventually I just figured that I would get better explanation here.
