Any midi note writing apps for android?
I've looked around but could only find a few midi to usb/wifi (which is great if you don't have a keyboard btw) but none let you write melody let alone play sound...So are there any? I'd love to write some 8 bar..or w/e melodies when I can't be in front of my computer.

I've been playing around with one called Nanoloop. It's a fun little sequencer.

edit: damn this shits actually pretty ballin!!!!
reminds me of reason. even has a rack feel to it.
much better than any other beat making app iv ever used for android.
i dont even think there is a paid version yet is there? sucks i just got all my patches and a nice drum beat. got the intro going. now for some reason the sequencer wont let me copy my drum pattern in
Re: Any midi note writing apps for android?
Been playing around with ULoops. Really fun, create loops and organize them.
It comes with some different drum packs and synth preset sounds.
You can export and upload them to the internet which is pretty cool.
I think there's a free and a pro one or something like that but the free one does me just fine.
Also it has a record function that acts as a half asses microphone. I recorded my friend screaming, threw on some reverb, and put it over a random dnb loop I made.
I uploaded it to the ULoops community website and people loved it

But yeah ULoops uses synth presets and various drum packs like 808, etc.
It's got a step sequencer similar to Fl Studio and has a piano roll and all that nice stuff.
Fun just to screw around for 10 minutes or so. I haven't actually used it for a serious production yet though so I'm not sure how it would hold up in that sense.

Re: Any midi note writing apps for android?
yeah its more for fun when theres no comp around for me anyway. i found it is actually nice to not have a million features and things to do. it allows you to actual get somewhere before your drive runs out twiddling knobs lol.Atac wrote:No but I'll check it out! one problem i have with this caustic is after half way through the song it just stops letting me copy the drum pattern to the track..idk if its something im doing or what but its happening every time lol..
Re: Any midi note writing apps for android?
Yeah dicking around actually turns out to be worth while most of the time since it's usually just a stream of consciousness at that one moment. But hmm that's interesting about your app. Maybe it's a Lite or Demo version? Or perhaps just a shitty app? Haha who knows!
Re: Any midi note writing apps for android?
Thanks for the replies! Can't wait to try out caustic in a bit when I'm not busy. Stoked to hear it was inspired by reason

Re: Any midi note writing apps for android?
yeah idk i dont think its a shitty app cuz theres no lag or anything. it actually runs smoothly besides that one glitch. i think it just may be a problem with me and my phone. ill message the developer and see what he says. the app is def not shitty though.Atac wrote:Yeah dicking around actually turns out to be worth while most of the time since it's usually just a stream of consciousness at that one moment. just bring your own PA speaker and blast some brostep up on the stage at graduation. then grab your diploma. rip off your gown in which your naked underneath and sprint away, never to be seen again. man that would be a sick outro.

I would fancy both of these scenarios.
Although it would be a little more pleasing to skank my way out of the stadium to some vibey ass Digital Mystikz or something of the sort
