Fuck your girlfriend, get rid of the bitch, so you have more time to make sweet music by yourself :6:

A wise man once told me, "The opinions of you friends, and family on your music don't matter, cause they don't even like Digital Mystikz. So why they fuck are they going to like what you make?"

Keep on your path man.

An ex of mine once told me she didn't like lean forward cause it had no words. Anyway the current girl in my life is pretty supportive. She likes the Dr. P brand of dubstep more but she feels the rootsier side of things every once and a while.

Exactly, I wouldn't expect a metalhead to be into the ambient, repetitive shit I do, so I don't really give a fuck if they like it or not. And yeah, that's extremely disrespectful of her, kick that loser to the currrrb yo

Im 19 so similar situation. Gf knows im shithouse at producing she only occasionly is like oh yeah thats actually alright your getting better. She actually said last night that she's glad i have something I enjoy doing. She's more of a hip hop/rnb girl but i have managed to get her liking a bit more vocal dubstep with "nice singing" that she likes, but yeah i guess its always in the back of ur head, that your gf knows ur bad haha.

I'm pretty sure my ex-girlfriend broke up with me because she knew I cared more about producing than her
It's cool though, I'm only 15 and I was gonna break up with the bitch anyways :corndance:

im 19. mine just gets annoyed at the time i spend on the computer clicking sounds and listening to the same thing over and over to get i right. its mostly the repetitive listening that gets on her tits. shes also very critical at times. she doesnt tell me im shit its usually ' why dont this sound all hyper like the other tunes you make' ( i had a phase of brostepness LOL). shes a dubhead tho she follows me to raves and stuff so thats cool i guess.

My GF loves the music that I make, and actively encourages me in both my production and my DJing. She swaps shifts to come see me DJ, and always listens to and gives feedback on the latest tune ideas that I play her when she comes over. She tells me if something sounds shit, or if somethings sounds out of place etc, and I can tell by the way she nods her head in the first 10s on a tune whether I'm onto something or not.

We also listen to lots of other music together, be it smoking to dub reggae, driving on the motorway listening to a hang drum sample CD I picked up in Barcelona last week, or skanking out to some DnB in South London. Basically, she's awesome.

I'm 17, and at first my girlfriend was like "Oh, no words", but now she says she listens to my music a lot, and my dubstep is the only dubstep she really enjoys (she says she likes it because it is more melodic). I think she likes it more when I play guitar for her though, but over all, she's been great about it. She's always willing to give her opinion and try and help me out, even if my stuff isn't what she's used to listening to.

She was pretty supportive and even listened to it with me, bearing in mind this was in my first six months of producing so the music was pretty whack but she tried to understand.

my ex was a total tnuc. She did her best to try and put me off my passion. She had nothing decent to ever say about my efforts and would call it a waste of time because I will never make anything good.

The new girl I am with is now very supportive. Even though she is not really into the music she knows how to be supportive.
Don’t worry about people stealing an idea. If it’s original, you will have to ram it down their throats.
