I have been experimenting a lot with re sampling lately. my only problem is I'm crazy when it comes to keeping my productions neat and tidy. I have been trying to figure out how to keep everything neat but haven't come up on the perfect solution yet. I Just end up with a crap load of audio tracks all over the place which works out but I figure theirs a more productive way to organize re sampled bass parts. I was thinking about trying to even insert them in a Ableton drum rack.

So what do you guys do once your done re sampling, splitting frequencies and what not with your bass? How do you organize it in a way that you can easily sequence it?

Thanks!

I use FL but maybe there is a way to do this in your daw. Basically I have all my audio clips on track 1 and 2 . The "tracks" in FLs playlist are really just lanes for anything, you can drag Anything to them. I have all my audio clips just up there and just mute the tracks so they don't play. Kind of like a storage space in my playlist. And when I want one of them I just right click it and preview it. Drag and copy it down into my sequenced song and chop away.

why not just keep all the resamples right under the original and color the same. name the lanes and should be organized enough to keep the work flow

listen to the parts you have and imagine some sequence - then try to recreate it...
also avoid thinking like "it could be better", "am not doin it the right way" and so on - do it faster and dont care
