Help Me Make That Sound - 2011.
Hey all, I'm currently working on my first real Dubstep track, it's a remix to a popular song by B.O.B. and I'm trying to make a similar synth like in Hold On (Subfocus Remix) by Rusko, the sped up almost laser sound. I use Reason 4 and have been trying to tweak the synth on the Subtractor Polysonic Sytnh but I'm afraid I'm not experienced enough to get it sound right. Please help, and dispense with the comments about the song please, I'm just trying to make a similar sound that will beef up my track a bit. Thanks.
Re: Speedy Synth like in Hold On (Subfocus Remix)
you don't really want to use the subtractor for the main lead. you can use it to make a deep sub bass that will fatten up your track though. for the main lead i would make a combinator and put in the thor and some scream distortions. change it around from there then.
or if you want a specific rusko sound just go on youtube and search something like "reason tutorial rusko". from there you could tweak it to suit your liking.
