hi i'm just starting out. If someone could help I'd appreciate it alot instead of tinkering for hours with all the knobs on Massive. I want to get some background blips and short sounds either ambient or mechanical and i was just wondering how do i make the synth continue playing after i stop pressing the key down. Like it just cuts off when i take my finger off the key. Can anybody help?

portcullis - valid question but you really need to start reading the production bible - it covers these kinds of questions in full.

Only one way to get through it ;)

If it helps - I started there, on this very forum - and read something on it every. single. day. Now - I'm a pro producer making millions of dollars using massive and fruity loops....

....

BAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAH

Sorry, couldn't help myself :D

Na seriously though - I did read something from it every day, some things I read numerous times. You have to if you want to get any good at this quickly.

Sooner rather than later. I'm in the later catagory, and fuck all I wasted some years.

Do you expect to get A visit from the dubstep fairy overnight and knight you with the power of FM synthesis? This shit takes a long time to get good at, and the only way your gonna get better is with knowledge, and hat requires reading and watching alot of tutorials.

I'm planning on reading the entire guide sometime. Id really like to learn sound design first but can't find any books and don't want to pay 5,000 for dubspot to teach me.

OP, you think the sticky is a read???

Some of us have read the FL and Massive manuals. Now those are reads. Get to it.
