House

Post by zerbaman » Mon Jun 13, 2011 9:20 pm

Is anyone Making any on here?
I'm looking to make a little more of it, maybe sharing some ideas & collaborating with you guys?

I mainly do Progressive styles, and something I can only describe as "electrotechouse"

Anyone else out there?
Do you say zerbaman? Or do you say zebraman?

let's say i'm interested but my mind is still stuck in dnb&dubstep's drop-based song structuring so it's quite hard to do house...

nah im more into the deep/techy side of house, not a fan of electro basslines and huge white noise buildups.
deffo gonna play with shuffly hats though. not having prominent basslines leaves a lot of space for rhythmic exploration!

I've been dabbling with it and I'll probably get back to it once I've gotten this "make a decent Garage track" thing out of my system.

I've tried a few times. It never sounds good to me though because I try to emulate that typical electro bass that you hear a lot, but I never can get it right.

What ever happend to real electro...

Use to be all like this :D

Now it's this :(

It's not all that bad, because their is a revival of the sound atm (pearson sound etc)

Lets not even talk about what happend to dubstep :crybaby:

Revival is going to be big, can't wait for 2030 :D

P.S. I dabble in all edm that's under 180bpm, so yeah house why not.

P.P.S Didn't we do the whole house thing a few months ago, it was about funky house that time, and know one knew what it was, and I decided to post some garage :6:

My next track may well be a house track, something I've touched on but never really done seriously.

I make Soulful, Deep and Funky House. Doing a lot of remixes at the moment so just depends what vibe I feel the track/ original vocal suits. Also make oldskool sounding House... Some of you may class it as Garage, I do, just don't class it as UK Garage haha. Don't get me wrong, I do dabble in 2Steppy and more experimental sounding track from time to time also, I just think the 'Uk Garage' scene is too single/ narrow minded for anyone but a person from england to be involved with at the moment. Which is why 'Future' Garage has got popular over in the states and in russia lol. Check my soundcloud if you want to hear some of my house/ garage tracks though, got a couple new tracks going on it in the next few weeks!

Follow/ message me if you like (any) of the tracks ;)

i've gotten into just about every form of dance music in the world (that can be found on the internet..)
tribal house in particular strikes a chord.. also minimal tech house is wonderful.. hard house is a different idea entirely but very fun..
but if you want sick drops in a house type format, go find some speed garage.. it is similar to bassline house.. it is akin to electro, but more soulful, with LOTS of shuffle, and LOTS of focus on bass..

I make Deep House. My BPM's are usually around 120 - 124 for that stuff but sometime get into making the slower boogie / slow house kind of stuff at 110 - 115.

You can still combine things, especially with deep and techy stuff, it accommodates for sub bass a lot better than other styles imo

What do you guys say to using this thread to drop house tune sketches/ideas you're working on? Like stuff you started and never really got to finishing? Maybe kick off some collabs? In support of the collaboration sticky

Here's one of mine:
