Introducing...Fruity Loops MOBILE!

Post by jrisreal » Thu Apr 28, 2011 8:31 am

I originally saw this on the Image Line forum and apparently the guys over at IL are developing an iPhone/iTouch/iPad app for FL Studio on the go.

Take a look for yourself:
http://www.image-line.com/documents/flstudiomobile.html

The coolest part for me (other than the capability of it as opposed to other mobile daws) is that you can save the project as an flp and import it in your PC's Fruity Loops for improvement, more capability, and professional production.

I don't have info about price yet or whether or not they will develop for android or other mobile OS's

Im excited about this because often times, I get a great idea away from home like at school or something and forget by the time I am home. With this, I will be able to get it down fast and do the dirty work later.
...in my opinion

It can't be that great if you can fit it on an iphone.
I've always wanted to make tunes whereever/whenever [like using an ipad or something] but probably too much faff.

There are lots of very good apps from developers on the iphone/pad atm. It's going to be interesting to see how much Imageline will have to strip off of FL to get it to work where it's worth actually using and is stable enough to be practical out of the studio.

from what they are saying its going to be able to do and judging from the pre-release screenshots, it looks like its gona be pretty full-featured for an iphone daw! And it doesnt need major FX/Synthesis/Whatever takes major CPU because when you use the app, you are simply jotting down ideas. Then when you get home, you can edit the FLP on full Fruity Loops and get it sounding how you want

Saying and doing are 2 different things. Having said that, this will be a big move for FL if this works out and they can count me in. Should help stop me mumbling into my dictaphone like a weirdo when I'm out and about :)

Call it FL too, they buried calling it Fruity Loops a while back ;)

I think it looks awesome. Nano Studio is great but fiddly and this looks much easier to use. Just a shame I don't use FL, I'll probably still get it anyway though.

"Never lose that idea again.
Get it down and happening wherever you are."

Sounds good to me.

And for Angry Birds.

My english teacher gave me a weird look when I mentioned that as the musical instrument I played. Like the wtf stare. I had to give her the 'wiki wiki' dj motion to confirm what i meant.
