So I've been pratting around with the demo a little bit.

Am I right in thinking it works in a similar way to FL where Abletons clips in the session view are the same as patterns in FL? You then move them over to the arrangement window and go from there?

Can someone share a good resource of tutorials for both arrangement and mixing down in Ableton?

Yeah the Ableton clips are sort of the same as the patterns in Fl, but there are a few differnces in Ableton such as you can launch more than one clip at a time this is very usefull for djing as you can have lots of clips going off while there not effecting your main track. You can also move them over to the arrangement window if you wish, however i dont use clips, i just use the arrangement window to build both my audio and midi parts of my songs.

Watch tutorials on Youtube even if its not a sound you want to make you will still learn things, also check out the computer music and music tech ableton guides there around £10 each they will be pretty usefull there around 100 pages each i think. Theres also a ableton live course you can download witch concises of 30 videos i think training you up with live.

Good luck man, Peace x

Unless you're making minimal techno or something similar I'd recommend only using those clips for DJing and just use the arrangement view like a normal sequencer.
