THE CHAIN - LOSTWITHIEL (R&S)... LOVE IT BUT HARD TO MIX!

Just received this one yesterday and planned on throwing it in the mix immediately... but the 170'ish BPM makes it rather difficult. Tried mixing out of the dub which is a bit slower but it's still tough getting in and out of. Love this one too much to let it sit though. Anyone else experience this?

the reason you can't mix it is because its in a 3/4 time signature ;)

awesome track tho

haha its not 170 bpm, yeah i mean i dont mix so like is it hard to mix 3/4 with 4/4 even though like you can follow the tempo right, does the time signature throw you off

Really? Just tapped it out a few more times on both Ableton and Traktor and it continues to read as 168-170 every time. What tempo are you thinking? And the conflict would be caused by a combination of both the time signature and the BPM being higher than majority of the songs I would put into a mix. For more experienced blokes, however, to whom I guess I'm directing this question, I'm sure finding creative ways of mixing different tempos/time sigs doesn't present too much difficulty.

id say its like 130 haha, but yeah i could see that you might be able to get the tempo matched, but then if each bar has a beat less, then it doesnt really line up structurly, and would be hard to like say drop it in on the 'drop' at the same point in another song or at he start of a breakdown or summat.
