i do, loads of it! haha, more actively then I make dubstep... Ive got a whole soundcloud dedicated to it, not that many people notice, I dont think its ravey enough for the modern world... Like you said legend4ry, synth stuff taking over... Always up for a collab, always looking to hear other peoples work too.
This is the guest mix i did for MadEP/Sub.fm , its all originals or family members, and all old-school hiphop or weird tape stuff... Soundcloud
http://cosmology.bandcamp.com/album/pro ... cosmhop003 > This has some hiphop stuff throughout, its pretty mad though, lot of tape edits and genreless stuff in here too, so youd have to weed through it to find the hiphop, it is there though.
And my imprint, Cosmology has 3 hiphop albums out to date + Deadly Habit's forthcoming... And our most recent compilation featured a few o.g. hiphop tracks too! All free on a donate-if-you-like-it basis.

I'm 99% sure he means sample based hip-hop.
Also Loves that old school vibe so much more than the synthy stuff.

Yeah, this!
Cut and paste hiphop is a name for beats what focus's on sampling and such.

Yeah, I make quite a bit. Have been for a few years. My style is very sample heavy, but kind of synthy at the same time too. Here is an album I released a few years ago:
(Please don't think I'm trying to spam you by linking to a download store, I just don't have this music on Soundcloud or anything atm and this was the easiest way to link it right now.)
Cheers

I've been making hip-hop loops for the past 6 years and I still suck. tbh half the reason I got into producing dubstep was that I was just making really slow dungeon style beats to cut over. I preferred using 808 samples and quantizing everything so that's why I naturally veered towards the slower sound, or stuff in the 110+bpm range.
for mostly sampled based production I've always found the hardest bit to be the drums. if you're working purely with samples it's extremely easy to sound very much like a robot if you're playing in the general hip-hop bpm range. I like making the off-time flying lotus/madlib/dilla stuff, but I find that very few producers are able to properly do the old-school boom bap without sounding corny.

No jokes. I'm like until I start resampling and rechopping my own boom bappage. And then I'm still pretty much .
And 2 u, leg, yeah making it. I like working synths in there though, but not in pop hip hop ways, more samiyam/slugga ways.

Yeah I still make it. I'm doing the synthy stuff at the moment but was making sample cut up hip hop, glitch hop and breaks until recently (i'm just doing heavy synth stuff in general at the moment- i've exhausted all my samples Haha). It's not very well mixed down though especially to what i'm doing at the moment
i've muck around with some hiphop but never really finish a full track
i really enjoy wonky hiphop but kind of glitch hop but with out the glitch also
i can't really work it out i notice when i listen to alot of hiphop the (kicks) sounds like its the main bass
i never can work out the bass and kicks just notice there alot of low end but i have not made much of it
want to learn tho.

usually sample based, with keys or few synths layered on top.

I do, though I usually try and record some acoustic guitar then chop that up instead of sampling old songs.
Nobody will ever hear any of it though probably...too nervous about sharing my rhymes and the back beats are really quite bare without lyrics.
