Disco Demon's intro from 00:00 to 01:05, do you think that was a live recorded piano set? Or is there a VST out there that is capable of producing such a realistic sound?

It's probably a VSTi. There are some samplebased VST's which are capable to produce very realistic sounds. Refx Nexus, Steinberg Hypersonic (has been discontinued) or Eastwest Quantum Leap, stuff like that will work.

I'd be very surprised if that's a real piano.

Yes! Thank you. I'll look into Leap, it looks like there are a lot of potential packs. I have Nexus too.ramses020 wrote:It's probably a VSTi. Me too, but I have yet to see anything as authentic. It sounds almost life like, probably because it has no reverb.therapist wrote:I'd be very surprised if that's a real piano.

I use Alicia's Keys by NI for piano. Sounds amazingly realistic.
