Simple answer. Knowledge and imagination. Knowledge is power my friend. Grab that 'go to' compressor. Unless you know how to use it you won't get anywhere lol ;)

But nah honestly, you can't go wrong with a rhodes sound and a flanger or phaser. Haha. Thats one go to sounds I like. Simple but works.
