Re: Spectrasonics
yes and yes
omnisphere and stylus
omni is a ridiculous, powerful instrument combining standard synth engine with granular sample-based. Includes a LOT of amazing sound-source material for that side of it, tons of presets, and the ability to stack up to ten patches in unison. Each patch can be dual layer too. the layers consist of a sound source, whether sample based or synthesis, and all the modulations and effects... so each patch can have up to two layers mixed to taste. Omni gets very deep
Stylus rmx is a great drums instrument. It can also stack patches but they are more like drum/percussion loops. comes with lots of different styles, loads of expansion packs are available, and can convert any .Rx2 files into SAGE which is its native format by using SAGE converter (included). So if you have Recycle, or lots of rx2s you can use them too.
it also has kit mode, in which those slots won't hold loops anymore but just one-shot samples that you can use as you would a normal drum sampler. It has all the features you'd expect in the editing field for each sample, and comes with a lot of good hits.
Both products have really good insert/send FX. and multi outs.
no i don't work for spectra =p
I just like those products.
