JUst starting out...needs help
I am just starting out and i want to beats and so on. i want to know what kind of programs or software i should get. i have been listening to dubstep for a while now and it just got me curious and now i want to make some sick dubstep beats. if anyone can help me out that would be sweet.

so you're saying you want to make, produce even, dubstep. If only there was a subforum somewhere that could help with producing dubstep.

You need a DAW and some VSTs.
Common DAW's are Reason, FL Studio, Logic, Cubase and Ableton. FL studio is the cheapest and easiest to learn, but it's still a powerful program. No DAW is necessarily better than another, it's just personal preference. VST's are plugins that allow you to generate sounds or apply effects to sounds. You can download tons of them for free.
