There's plenty of good dubstep about, it's just there is a lot of shit too. Just cos there is a lot of bad doesn't mean there is nothing good.

You just made that word up
And yes, as long as I've been into dubstep, I've had to sift through a lot more bullshit than good, quality material. It's gotten much better recently because I know which producers to keep an eye on now.

Fucking laughed when I read "Evolutionate"
But yeah, bSQUARED08 is right, as long as you know which producers you like it's easier to just ignore the huge pile of bullshit that's getting released right now.
Just have a look in the Dungeon Sound thread and see which producers are producing the true sound. Also keep your eyes peeled on labels like Black Box.

i think its time people stop genre-lizing (see what i did there, i made up a word too)
at the end of the day, all electronic music is house, just with a slightly different take......

skream is playing a 2006 set for fwd's 10th birthday though. It seems when he's playing certain places his style obviously caters more for the masses than the heads

A lot of stuff released is devolution, not evolution
But there is indeed a lot of good out there. But you are right about being asked what music you are into, as soon as I say dubstep people assume wubwubyoiyoiscreeeech

Since there is so much trashy dubstep, its common for people to mock dubstep listeners. Similar to rap, people will judge you because the amount of shitty rap. There is good bits of music in every genre if you search hard enough. Only moron/closed minded individuals will think otherwise. Most often they are under educated, too.
