Going for Information technology. Taking college math and english. No point to my future career. I already have experence in math and am a fluent reader/writer as well as basic 6th grade math im taking. Why is this? Just for the sake of tuition? Honestly it should depend on the major and not just out of spite.

nah they just publish lists of regional accreditors, all under the education system, theres no specific law about gen ed

most people can't even use their and they're properly. you're in the minority. also, you might have been able to test out if the classes are really basic. I exempted myself for an english class by having them let me take the final.

1. why cant you take a test to exempt yourself from taking it? If you took a placement test, you are there for a reason..If not, I don't see why any school would just put you into a remedial math class.

2. you need to be a well rounded individual, just because your career doesn't involve certain things doesn't mean you shouldn't know them. A population of idiots isn't good for many reasons, the strongest reason being for electing leaders.

anyways, everyone has to do it. Its really not a big deal..
