I've never made a beat using computer software before. In fact, I installed FL9 Demo onto my computer just yesterday. I'm and a total virgin to this stuff. I made two very simple things I consider to be dubstep or a branch of it. I am here to ask for help from all your wonderful people surfing the interweb. I could really use some constructive criticism and things like that. I don't know how to attach mp3/wav files to this post so if you do want to check it out send me your email or something. Thanks!

Thanks a lot!! That really helped. I've got my account ready and a track uploaded. This is my first ever attempt at a beat on a computer. constructive criticism is highly encouraged. thanks again.

I like it, i would say bring down the volume on that lead synth and boost the volume on your beat hard to hear the kicks a little, maybe side-chain compress the sub-bass line with em, since the the bassline is non-stop it can drown em out. Hopefully everything will sit in the mix a little better cuz atm the lead synth sounds like it is just laying on top of everything, when you want it to feel like it all blends well. otherwise i like it, very nice little beat :).

Thanks a lot! I'm psyched you like it. What about it do you like? How would I go about side-chain compressing the sub bass?
