I know absolutely nothing about house - I like a handful of artists and theres so much going on in the scene its hard to find people on a similar tip...
Suggest me some artists like....
Ricardo Tobar.
Nathan Fake (the early, less 'experimental' stuff).
Culoe De Song.
Black Coffee.
I just kinda like that stripped down, deeper, atmospheric stuff .

Not sure if this is what you're into, but they are all very deep House producers. Because that's their genre name, ha!

For deep house, surely look no further than Omar S. Huge back catalogue, some absolute stormers:
Personal recommendations:
AOS-004 - Omar S - 004
432-B - Omar S - The Further You Look The Less You Will See
AOS-009 - Omar S - Here's Your Trance, Now Dance!!
FXHE-001 - MK/Omar S - Given (MK Dub)/Sarah
WPH008 - San Soda - Immers & Daarentegen Sampler EP
AUS1132 - SCB - Loss/Future Unknown

Not sure it's quite what you're after, but recently I've been really getting into the guys at Restoration Records. The two guys that run it are known as the Analogue Cops and their name says it all really - everything analogue.
Almost all their stuff is vinyl only but I found some bits on Juno Download as well, but maybe check out the label of the month feature on RA: http://www.residentadvisor.net/feature.aspx?1349. Nice mix there.
Anyway like I say this might be wide of the mark but...

check 'rush hour' recordings, they have a pretty good catalouge of all types of stuff, u.s and european,
but unfortunately house seams to have 46503234 gazillion sub genres, its crazy. its almost on a reigional tip, just have to dig.... and dig some more

Was listening to a white on Rawax in Phonica yesterday and this guy called Unbroken Dub is pretty neat.
I know nowhere near enough about house either so bumping this in the hope it becomes some kind of beacon for house virgins.
