Looking for feedback and constructive criticism on a track I'm working on. Specifically relating to the mixing/levels of the track. Thanks to anyone for taking the time to reply.

i personally hate gates, just a flowing melody or chords would be better imo. but the drums are nice quality and i like the drop, that main synth is bit too loud. do you sidechain to the kick and/or snare by any chance? they come through really well.
if this is your first mix, really really good job.

give my latest mix a listen? if you'd rather comment on soundcloud it's the last song titled Sawed Off, but you can give my other stuff a listen if you'd like too

I'm not using any sidechaining, I didn't really feel that it needed it. Thanks for your comments though, I've found its pointless to ask my friends for criticism because they all say "its great" and never honestly criticize anything. I'll check out your mix right now.

I'm loving the goa trance-type sounds, neat idea! And the drums sound great.
Your drop sounds a bit muddy and doesn't have a lot of impact. I would suggest automating the master volume to increase a bit when the drop hits (not too much or it will sound obvious/cheesy). Also, (maybe) boost your wobbles a bit, keep the drums where they are and lower any leads or pads a bit. This should increase your clarity because it's kind of hard to make out the wobbles in the mix.
