The purpose of this thread is to share interesting sounds and effects you have created and then give explain how you created that sound.
Please be sure to provide an example of the sound(on sound cloud, youtube, drop box, etc), and AN EXPLANATION of how you achieved the sound. You dont have to write a novel just a couple sentences giving the general things you did. ENJOY!

I'll Start. Soundcloud For this sound what I did was combine some white noise with a saw wave and a square wave that were pitched down two octaves(make sure its low enough so you get that you get that buzzy sound.) Then I time stretched it, and automated the pitch. The key part of this is the formant filter. I used bifilter2 . You can hear it goes A-E-AW-O. I broke the clip up into 4 sections based on how I automated the pitch, and used the "A" formant on the first section, E on the second, and so on. Effects are what makes the sound. Try layering it with rubber streching or tape being pulled. I used transient shaper in this alot as well

Made this a few days ago...
Soundcloud
Here's what it looks like in Absynth...
Image
Just loaded a waveform of a bass I made in Massive into 2 oscillators and a few filters and only one resonator. I didnt use any external FX's.
And please ignore the drums. I put absolutely 0 effort into them :6:

lol obvious answer. I did that. But eventually I just started going through alot of the patches and just started reverse engineering them. Then I figured out that you could load samples into it...... from then on my life changed :o
But seriously, you kinda just have to man up and spent hours just messing with everything.

hmm, right- two wavetable synthesis oscillators- one sine harmonics the other square harmonics (down an octave), both at position 64 and a saw wave.

low passed at 900 hz- hi passed at about 10000

then, route your lfo (4/4 key sync, tempo sync) to your oscillators positions on the wavetable and put it on full. Have a little bit of lfo on the lowpass so it closes more and attatch modwheel to this movement

then on your saw wave oscillator attatch the pitch to a different lfo (at o.48 hz) key synched and add some panning to that (or automate it)

tiny bit of reverb and some delay and voila :)

i can take a picture of my thor thing if you'd like if thats a bit hard to follow haha
