Favorite Dubstep Artists?

Post by xxxxgatxxxx » Wed Aug 03, 2011 8:31 am

I wrote a list of my top 20 favorite dubstep artists, but I really want to add some more artists to the list and expand it to about 40 or 50. What are some of your favorite dubstep artists?

http://topworkoutsongs.org/2011/08/best-dubstep-artists

That's the list

Edit: Yes, I am a dubstep noob. I appreciate all of your suggestions as I am just getting into dubstep, and you guys clearly know much more about this genre than I do. (On a side note, got any more suggestions like Burial, I really like his music.)

To be honest, Skrillex is the artist who got me into dubstep in the first place, so it’s fair to say that I’m a latecomer to this genre of music being that it has been around since the late 1990s and Skrillex only released his first song in 2007

I just laugh when reading this :
Mt. Eden is another artist that got me into dubstep. If you are a dubstep vet, then you have probably already heard all of their songs (and are muttering to yourself that Mt. Eden sucks in comparison to some of your other favorite artists), but I think Mt. Eden is amazing

You should name your page "My favorite dubstep artists" and not "Best dubstep artists"... :Q:

Does your knowledge and experience of the dubstep scene comes purely from youtube? Actually i can tell it is, most likely youre still at school and you and your mates all crowd around the computers listening to skrillex's newest 'banger'. Makes me want to lock myself in a dark room and listen to allstars 2 and pretend it was still 2005.

You're an idiot.

It should be renamed to "My favourite artists who have appeared on UKFDubstep".

I really, really hope this list doesn't 'help' anyone.... I want this to be a troll but I know its probably serious :corncry:

Did you get your facts wrong? Yes. All of them. Except the one about Skream deserving to be higher... which begs the question: since its your list, why didn't you put him higher?

My favorite Dubstep artist is Korn. How come you didn't include them into your list?

Yes, it does. I only got into dubstep this year. That's why I decided to come to this forum to find some new people to listen to. Yea, my knowledge of dubstep only comes from youtube. Where else would it come from (pandora, no.) (last.fm, same thing as youtube). I'm going to put skream higher on the list as it's a work in progress. Instead of mocking my taste in dubstep, it would be great if you guys could actually mention some artists...
