recently bought a pair of rp8's and i was wondering whats the difference between using the balanced or unbalanced inputs?

Yea freal! I just bought rp5's with the 10s sub. I take a 1/8 inch balanced male, plug it into a 1/4 male converter-thing, plug that into the main output of my soundcard, that goes to a pair of stereo 1/4 male (meaning left and right) into the balanced input of the sub, then I go RCA unbalanced to the mains! Seems like it'd work fine, but to no avail.
