Norway Tribute song (Blue Skies Flux Pavillion)
Hi, few may remember me saying my friend Python has been vocalling some Dubstep songs lately since hearing some of Flux Pavillion's work. Here's a tribute he did dedicated to those who lost their lives in the Norway Massacre. Being honest and critical to him the music video isnt at its full potential quality due to videographers letting him down last minute which lead to him doing the whole thing himself as he did part of it while he was on holiday, mainly interested in the feedback for the song though to see what Dubstep think of this kinda thing. Constructive criticisim appreciated. Thanks. Again R.I.P to those who died in the Norway Massacre

I don't think Dubstep likes it.

tbf i dont think you are going to get much respect by trying to piggyback personal hype from a tragic event

I was waiting for this to come up... There's not much i can say as your opinion is your own which your entitled to, but what I will say is this was not the intention for it what so ever. I have already put a previous vocal on here over Bass Cannon. Python saw a tragic event and decided to voice his tribute through music as that is what he does. Its a free song, he will make no financial gain and its not like its being pushed to media and Norway families for emphasis or controversey. Im not arguing with you in any way, im just stating the facts as i dont want people to lose sight of what this is about. I never asked for any kind of respect or for the video to be judged in the opening post. I asked what people think of the vocal as a song as me and Python are curious as to what Dubstep listeners think of it. The tribute is him paying his respects nothing more, nothing less. Personally, I dont know why trying to put out a positive message has to be looked at in such a negative way.

Let me say the possitive thing is : he is outing his thoughts on a rather possitive way (not that I like the clip nor the song). But yeah ... music is WAY MUCH MUCH better then being a freak like that madman in Norway !
Much respect for the idea though !
Why I don't like the clip is because I really don't want to see that freak with a gun in it !

Ha ha thanks, glad people appreciate what we trying to get across. Thanks for taking the time to listen to the song and giving feedback even though you dont like it. One other question for people who dont like it though... Is it the actual song/lyrics you dont like or is it just the fact that you feel MC's are ruining the instrumental by jumping on them?

It's nice to write songs for those lost. check my sig if you don't think i'm with that.
I just don't like flux pavilion at all, and the lyrics/delivery were garbage. Very nursery rhyme. "take me now to where skys are blue // and i don't have to hear form him, her, or you" etc. etc.
the flow has poor rhythm, his voice is shaky and the articulation is off.
Just an overall "No" in my book.

The track was by Jamiroquai, flux remixed it (and in my opinion the remix is terrible, his worst track probably)-[2]DAY_- wrote:It's nice to write songs for those lost. check my sig if you don't think i'm with that.

Yeah i hear what your saying, so you feel Python could do with development MC wise. Thanks for your input/feedback. To be honest, i have spoken with Python about skill capabilites back in the day and the first thing he said to me is "Im not the most technical skilled MC, but i have a message i want people to hear" then he also said how he did a more technical track over a grime beat and he said a lot of people said they had difficulty understanding it so he feels that you have to sacrifice something depending on what your trying to do for the song. Thanks for your time.-[2]DAY_- wrote:It's nice to write songs for those lost. check my sig if you don't think i'm with that.

It's nice that he made a tribute, and I can see that you're saying that he's not trying to be the most technical MC. It might be better tho if he just worked on his flow a little, 'cause more people will like to listen to his music and get the message that he's trying to put out there.

Thank you, knowing the true meaning behind this song/project me and Python appreciate that. Funnily enough, as far as this forum goes... We just want feedback on the song to see if Dubstep fans like vocals on the beats or not. Thanks again for the feedback

I sincerely thank you for this, as this seems like the most genuine constructive feedback given in the thread so far. I will pass this onto Python and see what he says.LumiNiscent wrote:It's nice that he made a tribute, and I can see that you're saying that he's not trying to be the most technical MC.
