New to Dubstep/Where do I find the hard stuff?

Post by tollerton » Tue May 29, 2007 2:05 pm

Ive heard lots of dubstep over the last year or two at house parties but now I want to source some mixes for myself to listen to.

I have downloaded a few sets from this forum already but the sets I have so far dont seem hard enough.

I am after some really hard mixes that arent too grimey.

I recorded my friends playing the sort of stuff im after but im not sure which artist it was, check out a short example of what im after here:

Dubstep Sample

Can anyone recommend a DJ who plays hard Dubstep or post a link to some recent sets?

Thanks

Ez mate,

Check out anything by vex'd, search and destroy, luke envoy, scarecrow.

Quiet storm usually plays some of the darker aggresive stuff aswell.

glad you "The Apocalypse" mate... levels are in the red on your mate's dj mix... guess he likes it too!

It's done by White Boi and Komonazmuk on Combat Recs. Also check out stuff on Mode Records, which is their label. First release by them, 2nd by Tes la Rok, which is super heavy too.

The next Combat Release will feature another Komonazmuk & White Boi tune called "Search for Truth" which you can hear in the audio player here:

http://www.virb.com/combatrecordingslondon
