Hi guys, been out of the game for a while working for The Man and not buying enough vinyl.

Maybe it's my age, but I can't work out where to start these days. I was wondering if any of you guys could offer some recommendations? I've been really feeling stuff on a more minimal tip this past year, totally got addicted to the El Gato record and the CV313 record, both sound completely timeless and are total hypnotic zone-out material (that's my bag). Those and all the Rhythm and Sound 12s.

Anyone got any recommendations of anything that really makes you wanna turn out all the lights and turn up the bass in this vein? I need some human help here...

Here's something for your trouble (17 years old. SEVENTEEN.):

i love that minus track. :) wasn't familiar with cv313, thanks for the heads up! my favourite music to zone out to lately is probably mike dehnert, which reminds me i should really get his new album. still haven't copped that. if you aren't familiar his back catalogue is worth looking into.. here's a good track by him and three other tracks i like..

This thread is making me wish I explored techno properly. The Blood On My Hands remix(es) is one of my favourite ever tracks.
That Junky Lust track is great too. In fact, every track in this thread is great.
+1 on some mixes like this. Bonus points for ones with some rotary mixer blended goodness.

Most of the mixes (and there are a lot) on this blog are this kind of music or at least also containing it. http://mnmlssg.blogspot.com/ :i: (Be sure to check the TVO one and Peter van Hoesen) :U:

check labels : 'horizontal ground' and 'frozen border' and all relevant artists, sure you'll come across something you'd like...

Got this one on wax. Can't get more classic or timeless than that. Absolute killer.

that's quite nice, thanks for the tip! some other lovely suggestions in this thread too. :4:

when it comes to dehnert i'm not sure where you should start, i really like his lautschrift 12", especially nano. can't find a youtube stream for you but here it is (http://clone.nl/item16014.html). conforce is another favourite of mine, fictional environment is an older release but i only got it the other week, nice vibes (http://soundcloud.com/fieldrecords/conf ... nvironment). there's a really good delta funktionen remix on there too (http://soundcloud.com/fieldrecords/conf ... onen-remix) which reminded me to find a couple of his mixes.. so here's one for the people asking, live recording, so many nice blends going on in there. maurizio in it too mixed w/ autechre. highly recommended, three hours well spent!
'This a 3 hour recording of my warm-up set for Jeff Mills in Doornroosje Nijmegen, The Netherlands (22 Oct 2010). It was probably one of the most difficult gigs I've played 'til now, as it was all about timing to bring the set to an end where Jeff Mills could take over from zero. Despite some small fuck ups – probably due to some nerves (and some little resonance..) – I'm very happy with the result. Nowadays it's pretty rare having an opportunity to play deep stuff like this in The Netherlands. But this was the right night to do so. In the end, it was a legendary evening. Mills was supposed to play for three hours, but he and the crowd ended up enjoying themselves so much he played for an extra hour. From sci-fi techno, old ravey stuff, right through disco, with several 909 solos and a strobe running all night long, it was like the room was in a time machine, travelling between 1991 and the next century. I'm very glad I was part of this night and even though I'm not a big fan of live recordings, I still feel like I want to share my set with all you digital warriors.' DF.
