There seems to be quite alot of talented producers emerging from Nottingham at the moment, this guy has especially caught my ear

You may or may not be familiar with the Wigflex brand which is Spam Chop's brainchild, for those who don't know Wigflex has its own clothing label, night and imprint. The sounds coming out of this current camp are like no other in the UK and the quality is of the highest calibre.

To me Spam seems to put his roster of artist in the lime light before his own productions which is a admirable characteristic and what it takes to be a successful label manager, never the less i feel that some one needs to push the music this man is making as it is for me some of the most interesting and capturing i have heard to date.

there's something refreshingly odd about this stuff
especially that Fritz tune - it avoids any easy comparison, mad and brilliant
and it's great to see a post championing someone else's efforts in an intelligent way

@Donga i really want my home town to gain recognition as there is so so much talent here right now as i am sure you are aware working with Joe and Ethan. What Spam has done with Wigflex is a true inspiration to what i am doing with Mimm now. In terms of Spam's productions he is truly on point and i will do my up most to push his sound to everyone i can.

Spam is a true Notts legend in terms of doing his own thing with Wigflex and one of the nicest blokes about. We've been hammering Fritz as well. Big up Lukas!

brilliant producer. his stuff that i've heard him play at wigflex is completely next level. love wigflex and can't wait for Spam to completely blow up. rest of the wigflex guys are fucking great as well.

Hadn't heard of him but listened to that track and it's excellent, quite a unique sound to and in a positive sense, will keep an ear/eye out out for this one.

So much variety, Fritz is a banger, almost like each synth has all the freedom in the world

Your time Spam

Hardly post on here now days but have to say a huge big up to Lukas (Spamchop to the rest of the world) he's kept his head down and carved out something really good and unique with his night and label.

In a city with no musical hub ever since Groove City Records closed down and were things were starting to get a little boring and repetitive musically and promoters were no longer taking a risk (not mentioning names as it can get emotional) things are starting to look up again.
