How to... Dubba Jonny Bass

Post by dRslow » Sat Aug 13, 2011 2:17 pm

Hey guys, I've searched for this previously but haven't really found much about dubba jonny's bass. I am not speaking about the dubstep tutorial song as I am Blue. I am talking about where it first drops, how to make that sound. I realize he just messes with the rate for the remainder of the next few bars but I'm trying to get that bass in the first place. Any help would be greatly appreciated

You have to assign the LFO to the furry cat suit.

i havent looked up the jonny fellow but im guessing that you are looking for midrange cack sounds, no? if so you should check out the "How To Sound Like Skrillex and Make Skrillex Bass" thread which is stickied in this subforum. you will most certainly find out how to make that cackiest of midrange sounds from that, and you'll still be mimicing another artist instead of (god forbid) developing your own sound.

That song has like 10 sounds at once right when it drops, which one are you talking about?
