JAMIE GRIND

Jamie has a wide variety of influences and elements of all of these can be found in his productions – Detroit strings, chopped n screwed R’n'B vocals, pitch bent synths tied up in shuffled 2-step and UK Garage rhythmic patterns. His first two releases the first on Spatial’s Infrasonics label and the second on US bass music label Fortified Audio were incredibly well received and cemented his reputation as one of the most promising young producers in the game. His most recent release the Footwork EP on Fortified was a showcase of his take on Chicago’s Juke/Footwork sound.. staying true to the formula set out in Chicago but doing so from a distinctly British bass orientated perspective he obviously caught the ears of Chicago Juke/Footwork label Ghetophilles home to renowned producers Rashad and Spinn who promptly signed up an ep’s worth of tunes to be released in the not too distant future... We are proud to welcome Jamie back to B.O.M.B
