The Danny Mac Incident (aka Danny MacGarvey)
We recently were made aware of several tracks submitted to and released by Pure Dub Recordings being fraudulently submitted to us. On behalf of Pure Music Label Group's ‘Pure Dub Recordings’, we would like to take the opportunity to give the artists this happened to a sincere apology. We had no clue that these tracks were ripped off from others and passed off to us as Danny Mac songs.
We have issued a Cease and Desist order to our download partners through our download distributor Dig Dis and they should be removed in the next few days off all public sites. It is a sad thing to hear that people are trying to pawn off others hard work and talent as their own just to make a quick buck and get their name out there. Take it from Pure Music Label Groups owner, DJ Hardware, who has had this happen to him many times over the years.
We hope people don't hold it against us, as we run a legitimate business, and don't condone these actions nor do we support it. Should you have any releases you would like to submit to our label, please do and send Hardware a link personally to: hardware@djhardware.com.
Good luck in the future with your releases and I hope you will not think poorly of Pure Dub Recordings or our mother label Pure Music Label Group.

Why not call it Pure Dubstep then? Dub isn't an abbreviation for Dubstep, it's an entirely different genre of music.
