awkward hipster moment..

Last weekend I had this really strange experience...
The shop at the end of my street is were everyone goes after the bars close
because they serve breakfast to go..it's like a convenience store/deli..
Well I was in there late night - last week...and the place was full of people who were doing this..
and there were so many of them..and they were all doing this mannerism
- sort of talking to each other as if they were very awkward anorexic girls
crossing their arms and legs like they were nervous and stuff...
and I realized that I haven't the slightest - even remote idea as to what these people are about...
I mean yeah - bicycles..probably explain the anorexic thing but beyond that..nothing
I felt like running - so zombies maybe..there were so many of them - I've never felt so un-clued into culture.

So there were a load of people in trilbys, all of them sitting/standing/cross-legged. Interesting.

fixies are the worst hipster trend by far, why would you want a bike if the only way to stop is to make yourself crash or jam your foot in the peddles.

do you actually know anything about bikes? The fixie is THE standard bike of most heavily bike dependant countries like Holland for example, it's lighter, cheaper, easier to maintain and very very rarely breaks. I guarantee more people have bought bmx's since their creation because of their look than people have bought fixies for that same reason. Also the entire idea of the fixie is that you pedal backwards to brake? And wtf are you on about jam your foot in the pedals?

init.
i dislike the fact, that some people who ride fixies do it to fit in with other people who've never had an interest in bikes till it became fashionable
nothing wrong with the bike tho

I know this guy who has been a hipster before I knew there was a word for it and he's only recently started to talk about getting a 'fixie'. Bit behind the times now I felt

Kreayshaun can take a flying leap onto my L.E.D. faucet though...I'm definatly not sticking around for that..
but in all seriousness - my ability to relate to people is just progressively suffering...
I'm beginning to think about the pharmaceuticals again...
Maybe if I had walked in there with a debilitating mind fog...
