i went to a private christian school for a lot of my childhood, including my freshman year of hs, and my science/apologetics teacher would CONSTANTLY buttfuck this assholes video's if the subject of evolutionary theory was brought up. i guarantee at one point in that video he mentions, "the fossils date the rocks, and the rocks date the fossils." meanwhile forgetting totally that he's basing his theories about the infallible truths of the bible off of almost the exact same theory "the bible dates his god, and his god dates his bible."

i can't begin to explain to you how enraged i became after seeing the same bullshit repackaged into every day life at that school. having god's infallible wisdom crammed down your throat by a bunch of fuck-tard "know-it-alls", most of whom didn't even have a college degree, but were some how fit to teach me things that they themselves knew almost nothing about. that entire school was about money, and depending on who your parents were/your lack of monetary value was the basis on how you were treated, by not only the faculty, but their spoiled brattish stnuc of children.

i specifically remember several times in my apologetics class, my teacher would ask us to read a certain amount of chapters out of a certain book in the bible, then give our interpretations of what those specific verses meant to us. almost every time i "didn't interpret them right" and, i'm not joking you, would have to copy out of a calvin bible commentary--word for word. that school/the teachers/the people in it/their philosophy left me with a lot of hatred for the christian religion and most of the fuckin idiotic right wing fanatics that follow it.

skipped forward to a random bit and had to cut out after 5 minutes because this guy is such a douchebag.

"you cant trust scientists, years ago they said the planets orbited the earth, now we know they dont"
.....just like the church said the world was flat and killed anyone that said otherwise? and now we know its not?

"scientists say the earth was billions of years old but they werent alive then, they have no proof we are just expected to believe them"
.....your whole religion is based around 0% proof and 100% blind belief.

you know, it was, and i still get really angry when i think about how me and the few people that thought freely were treated for the longest time. but getting really worked up over it solves nothing, and in the end rubs salt into an already raw wound. just seeing this video reminded me of a lot of shit, especially the fact that question asking was not allowed. the weirdest part about that class was that he was the smartest teacher i had (multiple degrees, including being a doctor), yet, he was so blinded by faith, he was ignorant and judgmental beyond belief.

i actually enjoyed reading the article about hovind losing everything. i guess it goes to show that god doesn't protect you from being able to do whatever the hell it is you want.
