Need to know everything, where should I start?

Post by WanNaBeat » Fri Sep 02, 2011 10:12 pm

I am going to save everyone the pain of me posting questions that I don't need answers to yet...does anyone know of a good step by step reference source of how to go about learning the basics and techniques of dubstep? I have making drumbeats down, easy enough...I am wondering where to go from there, what order to learn the things I need to learn in so I don't get ahead of myself and get frustrated!

A sticky is what's stuck at the top of the page in each forum. For instance:

Youtube was my biggest help. I actually got into Ableton long before there was really anything out there and just messed with it for a few years... Glad others don't have to do that.

I also have lots of articles on sound design and ableton as well as free instruments.http://subaqueousmusic.com/production-articles not exactly step by step or always beginning stuff though.

Good luck and I am sure the forum community will help.

You can also try using the search field in the top right. Try not starting a new thread every time you have a question as well ;)
