Soundcloud

i was messing about in massive, and got this sound. It's pretty much straight out of massive, Just added eq and Bass. Any tips would be great, but im just trying to get everyone that much closer to the Robotic duos secret :)

nicee recreation. the original is a bit more raw and crunchy sounding but this is sure as hell a good start. howd you go about remaking the bassline. sounds pretty spot on minus a bit of sound design.

good job :W:

As far as the panning goes it might be how i set up my stereo enhancing. As far as the bass goes, i actually used m-talk as one of the waveforms. Phase, Sine shaper, c-tube, EQ, and reverb

Wow, was expecting something depressing; that was actually damn good for the most part haha. Oh lol modern talking, wouldn't have thought to use that for that sort of sound. Actually, come to think of it, I wouldn't mind a patch...if you're telling ;)

nice one. you shouldn't tweak it anymore though if you do put up a patch so other users could just do that on their own or resample it. don't want a patch that similar since everyone who likes the patch will just use it as it is, doubt any noob will look into what you did or how everything is setup in the patch

also i thought this thread would have been just some new guy hear who thinks hes the next excision when the sound he is trying to show is just something from a tutorial video. but you aren't one of those guys good job

good job, doesnt exactly sound like the basses in the original YET when comparing.. unless your not trying to copy it exactly? since u dont mind some tips then id suggest putting snippets of each sound and loop it so u can keep hearin 1 of your basses + 1 from the song after each other just to tweak each sound till u get closer.
the bass after the drop in the original definitely uses automation on a bandpass filter (or maybe they used fm8 for the sound because it can do similar sounds) its sounds vocal-ish so play with filters on that (if u cant seem to achieve that in massive then use a filter outside of massive maybe).. get your highend parts of the basses more crunchy by using different waveforms/using the phase modulator on the bottom in massive. try not to resample with these type of sounds, resampling is good stuff but i find its only good for creating your own sounds & not easy 2 replicate sounds like this.. so use layering with 2 or 3 massives for each sound when u want more impact.. anyway these are just suggestions from some1 who enjoys sound designing everyday lol so i hope at least 1 of these tips springs some ideas maybe :W:

straight outta massive? n i c e !
i'd rather have a screenshot than a patch tho, it's something else to turn the knobs yourself imo
