Come on then.... what was the BEST sound system at Outlook this year

I heard soooo many different views so far...
Hats off to the promoters as the main stage looked stunning ! and the pictures i've seen on the net of the other stages looks like the production was 2nd to none

All the systems were good! I'd say main stage was best considering it powered out weight over such a large area. I thought the fort arenas system was a little too bass heavy, it's nice to have lung destroying bass but I like to be able to hear melodies, high hats, vocals etc. In general though everywere was good even the little stage that got set up on a random one at the beach bar packed a punch!

I'd say the system on the Black Box and Tectonic boat.

tough question, I have to say though to my ear the moat sounded incredibly crisp, must have been the acoustics of the high walls. Also the dock stage sounded really nice, was there for the whole of sunday night and was on point, the sound technicians really knew what they were doing.

Moat and Fort Arena 1 were best for me. Dock sounded really crap at times, though seemed to vary....

Main stage on the last night was intense if you stood a bit back. I think it helped that it was such a calm evening (i.e. little or no wind) or that might be total bollocks i'm not sure. Mungos was amazing like last year. Wasn't so convinced by the moat but maybe that was just kenny ken!

All were excellent other than the Fort Arena 1- was like turning the bass on your stereo up to +10 and the mids and treble to -10 then turning it up as loud as it'd go, couldn't hear anything other than sub.
I loved mungo's for the sound and location- being able to go up to the top and look out over the sea or over the dance was quality. Moat is really impressive as well, in-fact the whole festival is really impressive.
Musically was probably most impressed with the Shogun audio night at the dock, everyone playing that night was quality (Icicle, Alex Perex, D-Bridge, Commix, Spectra Soul, Rockwell, and SP:MC).

mungos, that bass tears down cities. dungeon, ballroom and courtyard had a lack of bass (esp. ballroom). maybe those places weren't optimal.

i thought that and both had some real sick artists performing. you could put it down to the closeness of the walls and the system..

Yeah, the ballroom seemed lacking this year, I thought it mainly due to them swapping the location of the sound system and the decks. It just felt odd compared to last year.
Didn't go to the dungeon last year so can't compare, but I'm guessing they had to limit the system in there this year. As it was, unless you were standing in a fairly narrow cone around the decks the sound was quite muted and messy.

mungo's did it for me again this year..
but i do have to say after i came from the deep medi boat and went to see jay5ive, razor rekta, biome and darkside the bass was really heavy in the ballroom that night!
best night in ballroom imho! have never seen a dj go that deep, biome knows!

kode9, addison groove and lone's set were some of the highlights for me, cloud 909 on that system was intense!
also the hessle/swamp soundclash when hatcha came on and started playing bangin old skool house & garage with mighty moe on the mic, hilarious!
good times, bad crack with the security though...

void system in the Outside area was tidy you know! very clean.
Fort Arena 1, whether it was EQ properly enough, fuck it - bassweight was insane. Two pronged attack on the throat - one from the dust, one from the sound system strangling you. Kode 9 killed it...
Was properly impressed with the systems on the boats - Tectonic + ranking both adequately weighty. Swish VIP sounded siiick in particular.
Dock, had some insane line-ups, was a bit too quiet at times but thought the sound quality was decent mostly. Sounded best for Icicle B2b alix perez, what a set!
Main stage was banging for a main stage, hard to fill such a vast expanse of space but they did it well
thought the sound in the dungeon was a bit weak unfortunately, not much sub bass - must be a ridiculously hard room acoustically due to it's shape
Moat sound was really good! raved by each of the speakers stacks for a while, though it sounded best by the ones second from front.
TL:DR - I enjoyed the sound overall at Outlook more than any other festivals I have been to, absolute quality!
