What plugin/technique/etc do you embarassingly (over)use?

Well, I've been noticing I overuse certain techniques, and even plugins, and it had me wondering what everyone else's guilty pleasure may be.
I reverse reverbs far too often for builds... gotta try something new here.
And plugin wise... errr I use Dada life's sausage fattener a bit much

If I'm being honest, sometimes if I'm feeling lazy and just want to do a rough cut of a tune to see how it sounds on a big system, I'll do the following;
- FL Compressor on the Master
- Brickwall preset
- Crank down the effect volume to about 50-60%
- Bounce
One of the most shocking/embarassing things I do, but fuck it, it's rough and ready and gives me an idea of what works and what doesn't in the tune.

i usually have phases of certain overused plugins. used to be vintagewarmer, then everything got the camelspace treatment, even if it was only the exciter to brighten stuff up, now i love to put dubstation on all kinds of stuff (mostly filtered chords).
i remember sidechaining everything, and like 2 or 3 years ago thinking amen break + dblue glitch makes me the next venetian snares
oh and i had my guitar rig phase. EVERY DAMN CHANNEL HAD GUITAR RIG ON IT! i think thats natural though, you get excited by your new plugins and want to explore the countless possibilities.

reversed audio, whether it's drums or a synth line or whatever. adding reversed audio to any part of a song makes it sound cooler. soon i'll just be writing entire tunes in reverse.

Scream4 tape.
lol @ rv7000 Treetops preset, it is a lush verb. My most overused is definitely the Neve 1073 plug. Its the one great sounding, coloured, CPU-light, faithful modeling channel-strip EQ i have.

I'm in my sidechain literally everything phase right now, ever since i got into Chrome Sparks... by the way, check out Chrome Sparks. They are the shit. They sidechain everything.
http://chromesparks.bandcamp.com/ fuck yeah.
And Michael Norris's Spectral Dronemaker. I've been making everything into a spectral drone. and then sidechaining it of course.

I deleted the michael norris plugs, because it seemed they were introducing a lot of noise, and since the controls are so sensitive, i was convinced that i was creating infinite overlapping grain-clouds/spectral shifting drones of noise that i couldnt get rid of. I later realized, my tracks just got noisy after enough audio tracking and processing. The plugs work great and probably had nothing to do with the hisses that still plague me. Think i can re-download the AU's and put 'em back in the roster? Also, does anyone else seem to think the grain-stretching and whatnot could have been the source of extra noise?

Transient Shaper on every drum track.

Try the gate, it'll keep things from building up too much.
Definitely guilty of overusing the Vintage Warmer. It always gets thrown on the drum bus, saturation up a bit, limiter on, knee adjusted to taste. Results in drum magic.
