Hey, my name is George. I am a highschool student going into college. I've been playing piano my entire life, aside from other instruments, and recently started fiddling with electronic/house music. All of my songs are completely original, start to finish. Please check them out, I promise you won't regret it!
it was the name of a sound effect in my first song

Hi dirty duck, welcome to the forums.
If you look around the House subforum you'll find that we listen to music that is pretty far removed from the electro house you're making. Also, if you posted this in the other forums you've probably been flamed pretty bad and/or the replys have been mostly facepalms and alpacas. That's because in the main forum they listen to certain kinds of dubstep and don't look kindly upon brostep and electro house.
Now I'm just saying this as a heads up. Now that you've found your way here, there's loads of good music both in this subforum and the Dubstep one, and we also have a great Production forum with lots of tutorials, guides and stuff.

If you have been playing piano your whole life, which is a gift to be taught something that young, why do you resort to making corny electro tracks that anyone could make with little musical talent.... listen to what James Blake does... you should highlight your skills, loud isn't always good, keep it pure, keep it simple....

this is true, not necessarily the "pure and simple" part but you should def make something other than corny electro.

age isn't on your side either! there's a fair amount of other producers in the same age group as you too! it's cool that you're making tracks at that age but it's not exactly something to flaunt when you're promoting yourself as a new 'face' in the game.

im quite a bit older and probably could not make anything sounding better than that. probably goes for most people. not sayin anyone should be pooping on youtube/soundcloud everytime they spend a few hours in frootbase live. i just think its better to be makin something than not.
