What's all the stuff errbody forgets to bring to university?

I'm guessing alot of people on here are moving to shitty halls next week but presumably alot of people did it last year - any tips would be greatly appreciated.
so far I have:
all the obvious shit like kitchen stuff and bedding. Include scissors and can opener.
Documents: passport, NI number, NHS deets, dentist deets, UCAS conf., student finance conf.
Desk lamp coz your room is dingy
Power strip/extension cable
Possibly ethernet cable (my university provides one but not all do). make sure its not a crossover like the ones for xbox link - they look the same but aren't.
want a poster of MC Chunky saying "don't be a dick" to allay fears that i'll turn into the kind of student scum i've spent the last 3 years hating on.

Every year I just take up the bare essentials and get everything else while I'm up there, seems so much easier.

currently in the red though so looking to thieve maximum possible amount of items from my mums house! don't want to have to spend £3 on a pair of scissors, £2 on a can opener, £3 on cutlery etc etc because soon enough it's £50!

depending on which course you're doing.. stationery.. lots and lots of it
passport sized photos of yourself.. never know when these come in handy
