Fruity loops samples in piano roll

I am trying to use the piano roll in fruity loops for samples and am running into the samples wanting to play the whole sound and not just the amount that is layed out in piano roll. i was wondering how i can make the sample stop playing as soon as the note is over and not when the sound file is done. Also i would like to thank everyone for all of the help i have gotten from this site. Been lurking around for about 9 months or so but this is my first post so just thought i would give everyone big ups for all they do to lend a hand around here!

Go to Ins > Vol > set the envelope so that there is little to no release.

Nah, man, just go to the SMP tab on the sample and put the CRF knob to the smallest you can. This will make it so that the sample will only play as long as you have the piano key held.

@Chad, either way will work. your method will also make the sample loop.

Well the sample is the massive bass saved as an audio file. there is no asdr or whatever it is called. no way to control it for some reason, maybe some button i need to click somewhere. also the crs thing seems like it makes it not play the beginning. you meant turn the knob all the way up so the red bars are the closest right?

the crs doesnt really cut the begining, not completely sure exactly what it is doing but it makes the sound different and doesn't really solve the problem

Turn the crs knob to 1% . the knob that puts the bars around the wave in the display. Then make sure "use loop points" is checked. It's on the sampler window on the same page as the crs knob just a little bit up.
( what chad said, but he forgotto tell you about the "use loop points" button. )
I think it's the cra knob. I'm away from my comp but will doubl check when I get home.

Btw, there's no envelope for audio clips. That might be the problem. Load it into a sampler channel instead, and turn the volume up to max.
(Did they add envelopes to audio clips in FL10?)

Be amazed how quickly you can set up parallel processing

Honestly, I don't often parallel process

when I do, it is usually within a device that handles it. But maybe I'll start with this facility.

judging from the name and the context of this thread, I believe it is the act of taking a sound, routing it through two different processing chains and then combining the signal before the final output.
