'Sup everyone...

Been an ages since I posted last, which is pretty much the reason why I'm posting now.

I've spend the last 6 months or so setting myself up and sorting out a new career... it's not music related and as a result has meant I have had my head anywhere but on new tunes. Anyway, a friend of mine has asked me to start doing sets at a new gig he has, and as I haven't been 'in the game' for a little while, I have missed probably the majority of quality releases for some time (my last 'shop' had War Machine, Roteks and several others in it but that was a quick dip compared to my steady track accumulation of recent years).

Anywho, waffle aside, I would like some advice... What have been the best tracks, in your opinion, released this year? I mean anything, I love dubstep in its entirety and I am just as happy listening to and playing 2562, Scuba and Kryptic Minds (my personal favourite) as I am Funtcase, Skism, Reso, Rob Sparx and everything else in between.

Y'know, it has to be said as I was scanning my MP3 site of choice, I have to say I really noticed how... samey everything sounded. I love a bit of jump up, but the truly outstanding tracks were few and far between, the identikit mid range bass dirge was plentiful and the deep, dubby stuff I enjoy equally is few and far between.

I'd disagree that this has been a mediocre year for dubstep. Plenty of goodness coming from the likes of Black Box/Box Clever, Deep Medi and Wheel & Deal.
