is the name "Dubstep" bandied around too liberally?

I can't helping thinking that a lot of contemporary music is called dubstep, when in fact it's very far from the original sound.

I realise it's grown and diversified as a genre but do you think it's getting a bit silly ?! Does it even matter?

Yes, three years ago someone should have asked themselves this very question.
