Vocals in Logic

Does anyone know how to extract the vocals from a song so you can remix the vocals only no other sounds in the background? Tutorials would be appreciated.
u can not unbake a cake. period. people who do remixes have access to acapella stems... especially if it is a professional remix.
diy vocals are achievable but they usually sound like crap. u basically need a perfect replica of the beat without the lyrics.. and then u invert the polarity and play it back exactly at the same time then the version with vocals, that way every part of the beat cancels out the equivalent part of the beat in the version with vocals and u end up with just the vocals...
problem is frequencies are SHARED by diff instruments, so u cancel out parts of the vocal as well, and u can not remove the entire beat from the vocals..
try it, its a good learning exercise...
